you;re just a shooting star at night
shines a light
but drops too fast
leaving questions
creating doubts
building uncertain hopes
for those who've seen you on the ground
you;re just a clown in the park
spreading faded smiles
giving faded hopes
and temporary happiness
afterwards, after your leave,
you sound no better than a devil
who turns the kids into a whole of weeping willow
crying and pleading just to see your shadow
you;re just a blooming flower
fresh and soothing
your beauty keeps people standing still
seeing, observing, admiring...
but then flowers don't bloom all the time
there comes a time when they die
they whither
they turn into cold branches of dull colours
just like you
the light you gave has faded
you go and leave darkness behind
just like you
the hopes and joy you gave have gone
you go and leave emptiness and unanswered questions all behind
just like you
the cheery character and beauty you posses
have turn somehow into a cold, unfriendly expressions
you go and leave a big gap behind
so that no can can rush and chase you
and brings you back to what you used to be
that's not only 'just like you'
but indeed it's you
it's how you are now
it's how you've changed
and i'll be missing the old you
as well as everybody
